The RUMail service will be undergoing a major software upgrade on Saturday, October 19, 2013 beginning at 6am. The downtime window for this work is six hours, between 6am and Noon. All RUMail features, including Mail, Address Books, Calendar, Tasks, and Briefcase will be unavailable during this time. Incoming mail bound for RUMail accounts will be queued and held for delivery upon completion of the upgrade.

There will be two phases to the upgrade during the window. During the initial phase, nothing will work and RUMail will be completely down. Once the initial upgrade is complete, RUMail will be available for login and receiving email, but service will be degraded with regard to delegation. During the second phase, if you have given permissions to a user to send email as someone else, that will not work until delegations have been restored.

The software upgrade will take RUMail to version 8.0.5, with noticeable changes to the user interface, Zimlets, and domain administration. RUMail domain administrators have been contacted in advance of this upgrade and given documentation to prepare for the changes. Please contact your domain administrator for details about the changes.
